TENEO circular connectors are not only the result of machining. We use a number of modern and time-proven technologies to manufacture individual connector components.
One example is the production of insulators for VS / VSG / VST connectors. We manufacture the insulators of the VS line connectors using the method of plastic pressing and thermoforming. A suitable loose granulate is heated and pressed into a mold to create a solid mechanically and temperature-resistant connector insulator in a precise shape requiring minimal post-production retouching. The insulator thus fits precisely into the metal body of the VS connector and thus ensures maximum resistance and tightness when used in hermetic installations.
Unshielded multi-pole VS connectors are designed for use in control, automation and telecommunications technology, stationery and mobile devices, signaling and remote control applications, as well as in heavy industry. A threaded coupling nuts with the possibility of sealing is used for the connection. The design of the connector allows connecting and disconnecting the circuit under voltage (but not under current load), and this with all poles of the connector simultaneously. For example VS series connectors are used for connecting flight instruments in Czech and Polish aircraft & drones, both military and civil. They are popular for their robustness and increased climate resistance.

The six-page brochure contains the entire range of our circular connectors - from miniature ones (e.g. VS connectors) to high-voltage ones. The goal was to simply and understandably display each series of connectors and thus enable the customer to quickly find their way around and make an easy choice. The electrical and mechanical properties of the individual series are presented in an abbreviated form in the brochure. Our catalogs continue to serve for a detailed overview of a specific series.
VS connectors, BS connectors and SR, RM and RWN connectors are designed for installations where stable transmission of control and auxiliary signals is required. The TEX and ZGT series represent highly resistant solutions for the explosive environment of the mining industry (iECEx, ATEx). TSL connectors, MOG connectors and TNR connectors will find application not only in the mining industry, but also in transport technology.

We are not just a classic serial manufacturer of products from catalog pages. We can flexibly deliver an unique custom made solution. And such a solution does not even have to consist for the most part of our products. The latest such example is the express production of 18 different cable harnesses containing automotive connectors of different brands.
We developed and manufactured these cable harnesses according to the customer's basic drawings. We ourselves enriched the assignment with experience from already implemented advanced solutions for transport and mining technology. After full agreement on the project, production took only three days.
The harnesses in the truck connect the peripherals (eg servomotors, lighting, horn) and the control unit. They consist of AUX connectors for voltage up to 25 V and connectors for data transmission. In total, the harness consists of five to ten multi-pole connectors. Although maximum resistance was not a priority, our solution fulfills and exceeds the specification. Harnesses can withstand mechanical stress (joint movement, trampling down) and climatic influences.

Michal graduated from the prestigious Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University (ČVUT), majoring in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Management. During his studies, he gained valuable experience on projects related to electrical installation in the harsh conditions of nuclear power plants.
He wants to use this type of practical knowledge during his work in TENEO. An overview of the project documentation and the ability to accurately process technical requirements will help him to participate in the development of advanced solutions - for example, industrial products intended for explosion risk atmospheres containing Methane.
He will also aim to raise awareness of the new connector series designed for the mining industry and to find their use in other segments as well. Michal takes as a challenge the launch of sales of EV charging stations, which TENEO distributes in the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Spanish holding SIMON ELECTRIC. Due to his interest in electromobility and green energy, he looks forward to this task.
In his free time, Michal enjoys mountain biking, travels around Europe by bike with friends, skis and flies an ultralight plane.
3D printing is nothing new here. However, the use of this particular world-awarded 3D printer is a significant step towards even higher quality and speed of creating individual components and entire product prototypes.
The printed model is used for physical evaluation of the product and demonstrates to the customer the functionality of the solution designed by us. Compared to conventional production, 3D printing is many times faster and cheaper. Thanks to this, we can present technical proposals as soon as possible after the assignment, present more variants (still in the project phase) and do not have to interfere with the plans for series production. This precisely tailored "product preview" is another part of our philosophy, which relies on flexibility and the speed of customized customer solutions development.
3D printing technology is useful in-house as well. With high-quality PLA and PETG printing plates, we print technological components that facilitate production, spare parts for our machines and improvers for production units.
What we are, we are also thanks to the awareness of the importance of following new trends and technologies.
The mighty TENEO power cable harness will serve for the safe transmission of high voltage between the terrestrial electrical switchboard and the top of the drilling rig. In a potentially explosive atmosphere, the 690 V distribution is ensured not only by the durable braiding of the cabling, but also by the spark-proof connectors of the TENEO TEX series, which in all respects exceed the requirements of ATEX certification.
The harness consists of three separate electrical phases and one ground conductor. For a trouble-free placement in the construction of the drilling set, we designed a 46-meter-long bundle: the initial 8 meters of the cable harness are branched into three separate conductors for easy connection to the switchboard, the last meter then forms the end for connecting appliances at the top of the tower. For the final segment, we tailor-made massive stainless steel handles that simply fit into the existing load-bearing structure.
Because it is an installation in a hazardous environment in the mining industry, we have connected TENEO TEX single-pin connectors to both ends of the cable harness. They can transmit up to 990 A / 1,000 V and thus exceed customer requirements by almost 40%. Their spark-resistant construction and fully hermetically sealed connection to the conductor make the TENEO TEX series an ideal solution for gaseous atmospheres with a risk of explosion and for installations with the need for compatibility with established Amphenol or Winchester products.
This cable harness is further proof of our ability to efficiently produce tailor-made solutions that are not only quickly available to the customer, but also cost-effective.

Custom made cable harness TENEO TEX AUX newly provides Power supply of auxiliary equipment of the drilling set of the company MND Drilling & Services a.s.. Due to its location in the epicenter of an explosive gas atmosphere, our solution exceeds the requirements of ATEX certification and thus conducts energy in each of the 19 conductors safely and in all conditions.
This is mainly due to the use of TENEO TEX series connectors. We have fine-tuned their construction for the specific needs of the mining industry. However, not only the connector itself is spark-proof. We also solve fully hermetically the connection of the connector to the cable. Long time developed TENEO potting compound uncompromisingly seals the joint and withstands extreme environmental conditions.
In addition, we have designed special stainless steel handles for this 225 kg giant. With this customization, we ensured a trouble-free attachment of the TENEO cable harness to the already existing Bentec hinges without the need for additional costs for the modification of the supporting structure.

Development and production team led by the director Ing. Jaroslav Jakoubě presented a detailed production process for the assembly of a single-pin power connector designed for an oil rig. The customer was able to learn even more about our solution in a few minutes and see the quality and precision of production.
